Now, I know insurance isn’t exactly everyone’s favorite topic. (Unless you grew up in my house, where we talked about living benefits over mashed potatoes — no joke.)
But here’s what I’ve learned over the years:
Insurance is less about paperwork and more about peace of mind. It’s about knowing that if life throws you a curveball — whether that’s an illness, a job change, or something completely unexpected — you’re not scrambling. You’re ready.
When I first got started in this business, I was what they call a captive agent — which meant I could only sell plans from one company. And as much as I believed in what I was offering, I started to realize that what my clients needed didn’t always fit inside that one box.
So I made a shift.
I went independent — not because it was easier, but because it let me focus on what’s actually best for the person sitting across from me.
Now, I work with a wide range of trusted carriers and tailor every recommendation to fit your unique situation, not someone else’s sales target.
That’s why I started Marker Coverage Advisors: to give people real help without pressure, fluff, or the seemingly infinite number of industry acronyms.
You won’t get “sales guy” energy from me.
You’ll get a friend who listens, explains, maybe (okay, definitely) cracks a joke, and makes sure you actually understand what you’re signing up for — because that’s how I’d want someone to treat my family.

Our Behind-the-Scenes MVP (Who’s Also My Wife)
She’s currently in “full-time mommy mode” with our two little ones while also handling admin tasks for our company and working towards her insurance license so she can help clients directly. Needless to say, she’s our in-home superhero and the steady presence behind the scenes keeping this whole ship afloat.
Allison has a talent for hospitality and connecting with people. She’s fluent in Spanish, fueled by coffee, and somehow still manages to make an incredible home-cooked meal even on the busiest days.
She’s the calm to my chaos, and I’m beyond proud to build this business alongside her.

When we’re not helping people with coverage, we’re usually chasing after our two wonderful kids, serving at our church, or trying to stay on top of the laundry. (Let’s be honest — Allison’s usually the one actually doing that part.)
Allison is soft-spoken, but she brings this quiet strength into everything she does. She’s got a love for ministry and makes the kind of home-cooked meals that stop a bad day in its tracks. She used to work with a nonprofit that helped women transition out of trafficking and into safe housing and jobs — which tells you everything about her heart.
Stephen? A little louder. Friendly, go-lucky, and usually either singing off-key karaoke around the house or organizing a church basketball league. He’s got a deep love for people’s stories — and nothing lights him up more than helping someone find the kind of insurance plan that brings real peace of mind. Also: decent at pickleball, better at rollerblading than he should be at his age, and champions a well-timed dad joke.
We’re just a regular family trying to love others well — and insurance happens to be one of the ways we do that.
